Leading complex organizations securely through technology transformation and AI.

I lead cybersecurity for a large, complex institution, with a focus on clear strategy, strong teams and putting AI to work responsibly.

Get in touch

Every organization is a technology organization. I develop teams that eliminate cybersecurity friction, accelerating transformation and strengthening organizational security.

01

The CISO role

As CISO, I set the security strategy for a large, complex institution and turn it into measurable results. I also partner with executive leadership on the organization's broader technology and AI strategy.

Modernizing security operations

Moving from manual work to automated detection and response enhanced with AI, so the team spends its time where it matters most.

Security by design

Partnering with developers to build security into applications from the start, and extending visibility into operational technology that was never watched before.

Vision and team building

Setting a multi-year strategy with executive leadership, and growing a team of engineers and analysts who lead the way.

02

How I lead

Security works when people understand it, practice it and trust the team behind it.

i.

Make the secure way the easy way

The safest way to do something should also be the easiest. If people have to work around security to get their jobs done, that's a design problem, and it's mine to fix.

ii.

Speak the language of the boardroom

Leaders can't act on jargon. I turn technical risk into clear choices about priorities and investment.

iii.

Make readiness a habit

Readiness grows through everyday practice. Clear roles, practiced plans and a confident team keep critical services running and the mission on track.

iv.

Automate the routine, elevate the people

Good tooling and AI take repetitive work off the team so analysts can focus on judgment and growth.

03

AI leadership

AI is reshaping how organizations work, decide and grow. The ones that thrive will adopt it with confidence and clear purpose.

That takes thoughtful governance, people with the skills to use AI well, and leaders willing to experiment and learn together. These are the ideas I extend to talks and lectures.

Background

Over 15 years in technology, I've built research computing platforms, led IT organizations and grown an enterprise security program, in environments as different as higher education, healthcare and critical infrastructure. Each has its own regulations, culture and pace. Leading across all of them taught me to quickly understand what matters to any organization and align security to it.
